Sometimes my personal tarot card readings are so shockingly relevant and enlightening that I have to pause and catch my breath. Such was the case last night when I was looking for insight into how I should approach my last semester of grad school. I’m not going to offer you my interpretation of the reading — I’d rather not share that kind of information — but I do want to record what cards came up (I used a traditional Celtic Cross spread). Here’s what Fate seems to have in store for me:
- King of Wands
- Wheel of Fortune
- Five of Swords
- Eight of Wands
- The Fool
- Five of Wands
- King of Cups
- Eight of Pentacles
- The Tower
- Three of Pentacles
Several things surprised me about this reading. I love how accurate the relationship is between the King of Wands and the Wheel of Fortune; that’s exactly where I’m at. And the Five of Swords speaks a truth that I know is apparent to those around me but that I tend to ignore myself.
The Fool and The Tower have me both excited and fearful. I have a sense of what they may imply, but we’ll see if it pans out. I’m also looking forward to verifying (or disproving!) the Five of Wands tonight when I meet with some potential team members.
Seeing the Eight of Pentacles come up in Position 8 was humbling. I’m not sure I trust it, but it would be nice. And let’s not forget about the Three of Tentacles in Position 10. What a pleasant surprise! It’s so nice to see you there!
All in all I’m left feeling both anxious and reassured. I’m sure this post means nothing to 98% of you, but it means something to me :) Fleeting posts shall resume tomorrow :)
