One of the most frustrating aspects about America for me is its tea culture. Many restaurants don’t serve green tea at all; they serve “regular” tea, which usually means earl grey. For the restaurants that do serve green tea, simply asking for green tea isn’t enough. It’s always assumed that if you order tea you want it cold — iced tea. You have explicitly state that you want hot green tea — not cold. Where is this coming from? Why is Canada so much better at understanding my requests for tea?
